A Letter to My Younger Self

Dear Amber,

Life is crazy.

The ups and downs of your future will leave you dizzy, but that’s no excuse to stop leaning on the Lord.

Remember, your life is a blessing. Don’t ruin it by making the wrong choices.

When things seem hard and you can’t seem to find your way, all you need to do is close your eyes and trust in Him.

No matter how hard you try, you can’t be faultless.

Your words will hurt others and yourself, but God is there to help.

When you’re faced with a big decision, don’t make it right away. Make it when you have spent time in prayer.

Not every boy you encounter is a perfect choice.

Put God before anything else.

Everybody has faults. Don’t sit and tell people about theirs, work on yours.

Be forgiving. Even when it’s hard.

Don’t shout at people. It gets you nowhere.

Be a servant of the Lord. At the end of the day, He is the only one who can keep you standing. He stays close and never leaves your side.

Don’t keep your problems to yourself, you’re not the only person on earth.

Obedience isn’t a weakness.

Be careful not to get captivated by the things of this world. Think instead about God, His mercy and grace.

Each day is a blessing. Don’t take it for granted.

Don’t dream about love and marriage too much. It’s eating away at your life and romance will be your only thought. Think instead about God’s love.

Don’t focus on how you look on the outside. Work on what’s happening on the inside.

Be gentle towards other people.

Keep your promises.

Lead others to Him.

Use your talents for Him, isn’t that what they’re for?

God is with you where ever you go.
